Texas Power
Wow, that week without power really put a lot of things into perspective.
If 2020 was a unique year, I don’t think any of us ever expected that in 2021 we as a state would lose power for days here in Texas.
In times like what we all just went through, I’ve found its a great time to reflect (especially now that we do have power) how grateful we are to have the necessities that we’ve come to almost take for granted in our daily lives.
What also puts everything into perspective is planning. If you had a generator in Texas then you were in pretty good shape during your time without power compared to if you didn’t have one. That was a “curveball” thrown at all of us just like so many “curveballs” in retirement that we see so many people experience.
In our podcast, “Design it, Map It, Build It,” we talk through planning for the “what if’s” out there that can happen. There are so many things that can happen between the time you decide you want to retire, designing what you want, to actually having that come to fruition to getting you through retirement.
