About our Firm

Meet the Compass Retirement Team
Scott began his financial services career with AXA Advisors in 2009, after previously holding several leadership positions at a global health care firm. While working with a wide variety of clients during his first year as an advisor, Scott realized he very much enjoyed helping people create and manage their retirement plans.
It did not take long for Scott to realize that proper planning and education are what make the difference between people having the retirement they envision or running out of money. Unfortunately, this type of planning is very specialized, and most consider it to be an overwhelming, time-consuming hassle. With that in mind, Scott founded Compass Retirement and designed his practice to help pre-retirees and retirees formulate solid plans to secure their financial futures.
Along with being distinguished as a Certified Education Consultant (CEC®), Scott has passed the Series 7, 63 and 65 securities exams and holds a life, health and annuity license in Texas. He has the pleasure of speaking all over the Dallas/Fort Worth area through the Foundation for Financial Education (F3E), a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free educational resources to the public.
Scott lives in Grapevine, Texas, and enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time. As a former Division I collegiate soccer athlete, he loves all things related to physical fitness and sports, including coaching his two children’s teams. He has a deep appreciation for improving his cooking skills and spending quality time with his family and friends over a great meal.
