Frequently Asked Questions

Given your retirement income planning focus, can you help me with all of my financial planning needs or only certain items?

While our main focus is on retirement income planning, we can assist in other areas as well. These include college planning, estate planning, investment
education and much more.

How do you make money?

As we work together and implement your plan, most of the products we select pay a commission directly. There are no fees charged to you for our services. All product fees and commissions are explained up front and prior to any plan
implementation.

Are you going to try to sell me something I do not need so you make money?

Absolutely not! At the end of our process you will be able to make an educated decision regarding our proposed plan.

How often do you review my account and assess whether or not any adjustments are needed?

It is our practice to visit at least twice per year in order to insure that we are on track and meeting your goals. You can also call or email anytime with questions that might arise.

Do you proactively reach out to let me know about new products in which I may be interested?

The financial industry is constantly innovating and changing. We take pride in staying up-to-speed on the newest strategies and products that become
available. If a product comes to market that is a better fit for you then we would certainly introduce it and discuss the pros and cons.

What happens to my money if you go out of business?

100% of your assets will be held at whatever financial and/or insurance
companies we have chosen. Under no circumstances do we ever take hold of your accounts.

What happens to my money if one of the companies I am invested with goes out of business?

A guarantee is only as good as the company that makes it. We recommend only top-rated companies. Should one of the companies you have your accounts with become insolvent, the State of Texas has a guaranty fund to cover your life insurance and annuities up to a certain dollar amount.
